Update on my grandparents!

My grandpa was released from the hospital 5 days after the accident and it doing well. He is still having a little pain but is back to driving and up to his old tricks! My grandma spent 2 weeks in the hospital in Kearney, NE. My Aunt Carol and grandpa stayed by her side and my parents visited on and off several times. She had knee surgery that she came through well but had a tough time coming out of anesthesia. She had some rough days but last Friday she was flown along with grandpa back to K.C. She is now on the rehab unit of North Kansas City Hospital and is enduring some tough rehab on her knee/leg. She can't place any weight on her broken leg so she has a big challenge ahead of her. We are just so happy that she is back in MO and doing much better. Kaden and I have been several times to visit and Kaden really seems to lift her spirits! I really appreciate all the phone calls, messages and prayers! I have relayed them all to my grandparents and they were so thankful.

More serious note

My grandparents were in a car accident on July 3rd on the way to Colorado. The vehicle went off the road and rolled a couple of times. The were in the Smith Center, KS so they were life flighted to a hospital in Kearney, NE. They both had serious injuries but are in stable condition in the progressive unit. My grandma had some head trauma and has a broken leg that will require surgery later this week. My grandpa has a broken rib and punctured lung that required a chest tube. The chest tube will hopefully be removed early in the week. They both are suffering from extreme pain and discomfort but they have improved since they were admitted! They were extremely lucky but we appreciate your thoughts and prayers to a quick recovery. We have been unable to see them but my parents and Aunt have been by their side. We miss them dearly and can't wait until they get released and make it safely home!!

Kaden's 1st Vacation: Branson & Table Rock Lake, MO

We took Kaden on his first vacation to Branson and Table Rock Lake. We went with the rest of the Curtis Clan and had a great time!
